Mavris Arts & Event Center
This year, we are hosting Sour Wild Fink Festival at Mavris Arts and Event Center at 121 S. East Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202. (Can we get a 'hell yeah' for being indoors again?) The venue has multiple floors where different aspects of the festival will take place. There are stairs and elevators between all of the floors.
Location, history, and elegance.
In 1883, a 4-story brick industrial building was built along the winding train tracks through downtown Indianapolis. The South East Street building was originally a terminal for the import of grocery goods for central Indiana, and later a plumbing warehouse. In 1999, the previous owner began to renovate the building and continued renovations until 2011. While several modern additions have been made to create the venue you see today, the exposed brick, hardwood floors and beams are all original to the building.
